Dear Music Trebles Studio Family,

Last March all of our lives changed. Not too long after the studio closed its doors due to COVID-19 I sat down with God for my quarterly planning meeting to decide the direction and where to spend my energy for the second quarter of 2020. I planned out goals to record some original music and to work more intentionally with my first passion; songwriting. During the time of this past quarter, I’ve been blessed to be able to participate in a lot of music with the Collegedale Church, learn many life lessons through gardening, and grow more skilled with my tools for recording music, gaining much hands-on experience with recording and playing music.

Moving forward into quarter 3 of 2020 I had another day or two lined up to sit down with God to plan the next quarter’s time. My expectations going into the planning meeting were that we would be reopening the studio at a somewhat reduced rate where I would be cutting back to 3-4 days a week of teaching and spending the other 1-2 days a week recording and songwriting. After spending the time in planning and lots of prayers I feel God leading me to close the studio permanently, to allow myself space mentally to focus 100% of my efforts toward songwriting, performing, and pursuing a career as a music artist. This is a crazy time to be starting a new and unproven venture in business or to be making a living, but I feel God’s call and I must follow in faith to His leading. I have greatly appreciated your direct support of my studio during the time that it has been apart of our greater Collegedale community. The past six years in music education have left an unforgettable stamp upon my life and I am so thankful to have worked with each student I have come into contact with. I never dreamed I would have been an educator, but at this vantage point in my life looking back I would have never traded it for anything else. I have learned countless lessons about music and life through the exploration of music over and over again in new ways with your student. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of working with you and your family.

So what does this look like going forward? I realize that just about a month ago I sent out an email stating that we would be resuming some sort of “normal” class hours mid-August and I want to be mindful of the fact that many of you have waited patiently for the studio to reopen. So in an effort to help transition families to new studios or educators, the studio will still be resuming classes from August 17-September 30. This will hopefully give you time to locate a new option for piano education for your student. I do not currently have any personal recommendations for teachers in the area but I will do some research to try to help you with that. If you would prefer not to work with Music Trebles Studio for this short period of time I completely understand. All I ask is that you please reply to this email letting me know your plans moving forward so that I can know how to best help all the families in the studio.

If you would like to support me moving forward into this next adventure I would love to invite you to join my email list for my music career by clicking here ( I will be releasing a song toward the end of July/early August titled Dreams and the email list will be the best way to stay up to date on this and future announcements. I hope that in some small way I can continue to be a positive mentor for your student and I hope that the final lesson I could teach them is to always follow their God-given dreams.
